The Role:
- This exciting and challenging full-time role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD and supports the operation, maintenance, test and evaluation of Electronic Attack and Air Combat Training systems in support of the ADF.
- The role requires knowledge and experience of ICT equipment and software.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience of Configuration Management, Global Trade, and documentation classification.
- Knowledge of sustaining ADF systems and processes would be advantageous.
- Understand the requirements for the management and control of project data, including filing, correspondence control, and classified data handling.

- Demonstrates a focus on delivering the best possible outcome and attends to all details required to deliver the right solutions at the right time and commitments are met on schedule.
- Consistent and unquestionable ethical conduct and discretion in all matters, interactions, and agreements with internal and external parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the document sets that define each configuration item and baseline and record these in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
- Identify configuration items and parts and define the system’s and/or parent equipment’s design architecture in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
- Provide guidance in the development and maintenance of the configuration management system and tools.
- Act as approval authority for configuration management deliverables.
- Coordinate EATS Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities and act as the liaison between ACEASPO Technical Change Board and RAUS EATS CCB.
- Provide support for product audits and reviews of software and hardware configuration items.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Essential – Requires a University Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Essential – Accreditation as a Certified International Configuration Manager by International Society of Configuration Management.
- Essential – Minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
- Essential – Requires advanced knowledge of configuration management techniques, particularly in a defence electronics environment.
- Desirable – Familiarity with engineering management systems such as Windchill and EAGLE systems.
- Understand the requirements for the transmission and archiving of project data, including classified data.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
