Responsibilities:
Lead classroom and hands-on training sessions for manufacturing and technical aerospace skills in areas such as Structures, Systems, Quality, Electrical, and Composites.
Facilitate engaging and safe learning environments through team coaching, instructor-led training, and knowledge transfer.
Develop and deliver customized learning programs, presentations, guides, and assessments aligned with training objectives and regulatory standards.
Observe and track student performance, providing coaching and performance feedback as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in manufacturing and aerospace operations to support technical consultation and skill development.
Collaborate with instructional designers and engineering teams to create training enhancements and practical job aids.
Conduct course evaluations, skill assessments, and provide recommendations to improve curriculum effectiveness.
Support and coach less experienced instructors; lead Train-the-Trainer sessions to certify additional instructors.
Monitor evolving training needs in production environments and adjust training strategy accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 6+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years of relevant aerospace work experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and templates.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following domains: Structural Assembly, Electrical Systems, Fabrication, Composites, Functional Test, Quality Inspection, Seal Applications, and Repair.
Background in training, coaching, or team facilitation.
Experience designing curriculum and conducting training needs assessments.
Professional certifications in aerospace manufacturing, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Skilled in curriculum development, job analysis, and applied learning strategies.
