Position Summary

Position Summary:

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing, planning and managing Division inventory levels to ensure we have inventory available to support OEM and Afterspanet production at the right place and at the right time. The Inventory Analyst develops and implements network strategies for the Division including PFEP, replenishment Strategy, safety stock strategy, supplier stocking strategy and analytical inventory tools.  This role will not have direct reports. This position will report directly to the Division Production Control Manager and have reporting responsibility to the Division Supply Chain Manager/Division Procurement Manager

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

Work with suppliers, business unit managers, purchasing, production planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery. Matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory functions. Provide direct leadership and/or guidance to supply chain team & SIOP members to execute, monitor, and develop inventory strategies.   

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Manages and prepares short and long-term inventory projections and other KPIs/reports on inventory health, inventory intensity, inventory trends, and excess and obsolete inventory. Works very closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Warehousing group to ensure inventory strategy supports budgets and customer requirements. Develops and administers inventory transformation strategy leading to improvements in KPIs and improving material availability.  Presents Inventory results and projections to multiple levels of the organization as a part of the SIOP process.  Develops complex analytical tools in systems such as PowerBI independently and/or with support of the Supply Chain Analytics team. Drive inventory reduction strategy, ensure group reports are accurate and timely for inventory planning, provide guidance on cycle count strategies, participate in annual physical inventory across multiple divisions, and ensure adequate stock for business. Assists in analysis and reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.  Supports the SIOP leader with data collection, presentation, and analysis of customer forecasts, S&OP Model, and internal forecasts.   

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience inventory or supply chain analytics.  4 Year Degree Preferred.  Experience working with analytics tools, PowerBI, MANMAN, High level Excel skill set and other Microsoft Office Suite software.  Possess business and technical skills required to understand business practices, warehousing, cycle counting, and inventory experience. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration amongst cross functional teams.

Additional Comments:

This role works withing a matrix organization, working alongside the planning, procurement, and warehousing functions of the business, with report out to site leadership and group level updates.
