Aircraft Electrical Assembler B - North Charleston, SC

Schedule: Must be available to work all shifts based on business needs
Training: 8–10 weeks (successful completion is a contingency of assignment – includes OJT and/or formal classroom training)

Position Overview

The Aircraft Electrical Assembler B performs routine production assembly operations on aircraft structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and systems using manual operations. This role supports the 787 program and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and adherence to aerospace manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Route wire harnesses to supports per blueprint instructions and 787 specifications.
  • Build connectors; splice, crimp, and terminate wires.
  • Install connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
  • Perform repairs and rework based on authorized engineering change instructions.
  • Conduct fiber optic cleaning, inspection, light loss testing, routing, and installation.
  • Execute Bond & Ground operations, including CRNs, jumpers, ground stud installation, and resistance testing.
Job Requirements:

Basic Requirements

  • 6+ months of experience using computer applications (Internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, or similar systems).
  • 6+ months of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints/drawings/specifications in English.
  • 6+ months in advanced manufacturing, technical, or mechanical work using hand, power, and/or pneumatic tools.
  • 6+ months experience with structural parts fabrication and assembly processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform frequent: bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, crawling, squatting, twisting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Typically 1+ year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (vocational/technical school accepted).
