To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Dispatch Coordinator. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Dispatch Supervisor in running an efficient and safe operation. In addition, this position is responsible for hosting daily operational meetings, completing audits and managing daily staffing challenges in the Operations Control Center (OCC). The successful candidate will hold an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, have advanced ability with SABRE Flight Operations Software and at least two years of experience in an airline’s operations center. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Flight Operations.
Essential Duties:
Assist the dispatch supervisor in running an efficient and safe operation
Complete audits for the Dispatch department
Host daily operational meetings
Assist in managing daily staffing challenges in the OCC
Communicate operational issues to crews, American Airlines, and senior leadership
Assign flights to each dispatcher for the following day
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced ability with SABRE Flight Operations software
Two years’ experience in an airline’s operations center
Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment and be able to work independently with limited assistance
Ability to multitask and adapt to frequent changes in daily operations

Available to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Starting Rate:
