Aerodynamicist – In-Flight Icing & CFD Engineer- Permanent -  Montreal, QC 

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerodynamicist specializing in in-flight icing and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to join our team in Montreal. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced aerodynamic challenges and contribute directly to aircraft design, performance, and certification.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct advanced numerical simulations to model in-flight icing on complex aerodynamic configurations.
Plan, execute, and analyze wind tunnel test campaigns (high-lift and icing), supporting CFD validation and certification efforts.
Design and implement innovative mesh generation, deformation, and adaptation strategies tailored to icing simulations.
Evaluate aerodynamic performance under icing conditions, supporting system-level analyses such as ice protection, stability and control, and overall aircraft performance.
Develop and optimize CFD workflows for icing applications using High Performance Computing (HPC).
Serve as a subject matter expert in icing aerodynamics, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including Flight Sciences, Loads & Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Systems, and Certification.
Support certification activities and interface with regulatory authorities on in-flight icing requirements.

Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering with a focus on CFD and/or in-flight icing.
5–10+ years of hands-on experience in aerodynamic CFD and icing simulations, with demonstrated impact on design or certification programs.
Strong foundation in numerical methods for PDEs, including discretization techniques, time integration, and solver development.
Experience with mesh generation tools (e.g., Pointwise) and CAD platforms (NX, CATIA).
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and HPC workflows.
Programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
Eligibility to work on defense-related projects (CGD, ITAR compliance).
Experience with certification processes and regulatory interactions is an asset.
