Now Hiring: Aircraft Subsystems Architect Engineer (Permanent) – Wichita, KS
We’re looking for an experienced Aircraft Subsystems Architect Engineer to join a dynamic team in Wichita, KS.
Responsibilities:
Translate high-level customer needs into detailed system and platform requirements
Define functional requirements and interfaces for mission management, sensing, and communication systems
Own and evolve mission system architecture throughout the full program lifecycle
Lead design milestones, including Critical Design & Integration Reviews
Perform trade studies to guide product definition and architecture decisions
Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Define and oversee Verification & Validation strategies
Integrate supplier/vendor solutions into system architecture
Support business development through proposals and white papers
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Contribute to Digital & Systems Engineering strategy implementation
Apply Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in mission systems, C2 communications, sensors, integration, and certification
Strong knowledge of systems engineering standards (ARP4754, ARP4761)
Familiarity with STANAG 4671 & 4586
Solid understanding of aircraft systems and certification processes
