Sr. Procurement Project Specialist


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Procurement Project Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Commercial and Industrial (C&I) projects. You will play a critical part in ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment across the procurement function across North America. This position will report directly to our Regional Sourcing Manager, and will work out of our Duluth, GA or Atlanta, GA office location. The position will operate under a hybrid model, with 3 days at the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee C&I procurement projects in USA and Canada from initiation to completion, including supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and delivery, ensuring projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies for Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) projects.
• Participate in implementing strategic sourcing practices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to drive value and innovation.
• Assist in assessing and mitigating procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, compliance issues, and quality control, to ensure the continuity and quality of supply.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to ensure favorable terms and conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
• Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Growth, Productivity and Working capital Plan with supporting strategies
• Utilize your expertise in Solar PV Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Microgrids to effectively manage procurement activities.
• Leverage your strong background in procurement to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary materials and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with project goals.
• Utilize your negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and sourcing.

Must Have: 

- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV Systems, BESS, and Microgrids.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing procurement and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
