Summary
Pratt & Whitney AutoAir is excited to welcome a passionate and dynamic Operations Manager (M4) to our team! In this role, youll lead operations and support our business, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for designing and manufacturing jet engine test equipment. Were looking for someone who loves to find ways to improve business processes using strong problem-solving skills and effective communication. As our Operations Manager, youll inspire and guide our employees, helping them optimize their work, develop their careers, and find personal satisfaction. What You Will Do
Manage all aspects of assigned hourly workforce that is performing FAA Safety Sensitive Work (Time & attendance, time off, rewards, vouchering, training, communications, etc.)
Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
Meet business metrics goals as defined for the Division (Cost, Quality, Delivery, EH&S)
Lead process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs
Implement root-cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Interface with Program Management, Quality, Materials, Finance, Facilities, Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to support integrated value stream solutions
Coach employees to develop a motivated, effective team, conduct Toolbox talks and proactively address performance issues, as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Military, Aviation, Aerospace, or Manufacturing industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
3+ years of leadership experience managing business operations
3+ years of experience managing direct reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in STEM field; Business or Engineering fields preferred.
A&P License or similar mechanical training and aptitude.
Knowledge and experience with ground test nacelle equipment.
Experience working in a Union shop environment.
Knowledge of Union-Management Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Experience working directly with international and domestic customers.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).
Proven track record of operations and/or project management leadership.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP and MRP material ordering systems.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
