Job Title: 145 Maintenance Planner

Department: 145 Planning

Reports To: OSC 145 Planning Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The 145 MX Planner is directly responsible to the 145 Maintenance Planning Manager for the day-to-day functions of the Planning Department. The 145 Maintenance Planner will ensure maintenance documentation is prepared and completed correctly in accordance with current regulations and the Customer’s requirements.

The 145 MX Planner is responsible for:

  • Print/ Review/ Audit all work packages for completeness based on the work scope as provided by the Customer and is the main point of contact for Customers.
  • Thoroughly familiar with contractual terms particularly relating to budget and span time along with contractual Rates.
  • Bidding MX Excel Quotes for Customer Work Packages. Printing and interpreting AD/SB Maintenance, Inspection and NDT Hours. Organizing and sequencing the Customers furnished work package by Priority, job Skill, and ease of work by production.
  • Obtaining all documentation referenced on the Scheduled Work cards prior to issuance to the Production Control Booth.
  • Ensuring that the Pre-draw is complete and that arrangements are made for any special tooling requirements.
  • Reviewing Work Scope, Budgets, and flow with Project Managers, Data Processors, Quality Control, Material Planning, Stores, and other pertinent departments.
  • Working closely with CVG Schedulers and Data Processors to ensure that Customer requirements are complied with and that the Production Control Booth activities are in accordance with both Customer and Kalitta Maintenance procedures.
  • Estimating the time (man-hours and down time) it will take to accomplish each job, taking into consideration critical path items, manpower and material availability.
  • Work with Project Managers, Schedulers and Data Processors for Corrections or Additions to a work package.
  • Work Closely with Outstation Personnel to ensure all Customer Aircraft Work Packages and 145 Planning Paperwork is issued prior to the arrival of the Aircraft and that they can supply the Support.
  • Daily Monitoring of Customer/ AMOS and /or Flight List (Info Box) to Issue ETOPs/Daily’s or Work Packages prior to A/C arrival in Outstation. Monitor closely for Cancellations/ Tail Swaps.
  • Maintain Current and New Customer Aircraft in the AMOS System. (Create New A/C Registrations, Parent/ Sub Projects, Work Templates, Work Orders, Zones, Panels, Areas, Address Administration and Build Work Packages).
  • Cover Call Hours for AOG Customers in a Timely Matter.
  • Prepare a Daily Review of incoming and outgoing Aircraft into Oscoda and Update the Yearly Aircraft Arrival/Departure List
  • Open CM Projects in AMOS for parts that have been routed by the Stockroom to a back shop for repair/overhaul.
  • Submit TA’s (Technical Assist) to the Parts Research group in APN 869 if the P/N is not in AMOS.
  • Create Service Orders in AMOS APN 2015 for Heat Treat Projects.
  • Gather, Print and deliver Working Copies of AD/SB Booklets for Maintenance to the Production Booth requesting them. Collect the used AD/SB Books from the hangars when MX is finished and file/maintain AD/SB Books in 145 Planning Library.
  • If a CM Project is being requested by a MX Customer; they will email the 145 Planning group and the OSC Backshop admins group requesting the work needed done and include their RO / PO to comply with.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the 145 Planning Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Directly reports to 145 MX planner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer experience Microsoft Word and Excel. AMOS a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports, emails and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to convert between different units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
