JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Storage Mx Lead Mechanic
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Special Projects Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with the Special Projects Manager for the scheduling and assignment of daily jobs.
- Lead and direct subordinate crewmembers in the performance of job tasks. Ensure that productivity and work quality is satisfactory.
- Ensure that all identified issue are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist subordinate crewmembers with interpreting maintenance manuals and Kalitta Air Storage program.
- Ensure that all maintenance performed by subordinate crewmembers is in accordance with AMM, SRM, storage program, ect. Ensure that all maintenance actions performed by subordinate crewmembers are properly documented.
- Provide OJT as necessary to subordinate crewmembers.
- Ensure all subordinate CBT training is current, including equipment used in their daily routines.
- Assist subordinate crewmembers in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
- Assist Special Projects Manager in identifying any safety related deficiencies.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Special Projects Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirement listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and days off.
FAA Airframe license required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; 5 years min experience in maintenance and repair of commercial category aircraft
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
