Job Summary
A Structural Assembler fabricates and assembles aircraft control surfaces. Inspects assemblies, mating and installation of parts, equipment for alignment, fit, clearance, torque, and related factors.
2k Sign-on Bonus until further notice.
Shifts:
First Shift: Mon-Thur; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Overtime as required
Second Shift: Mon-Thur; 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM;10 shift differential; Overtime as required
Weekend Shift: Fri-Sun; 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM;12 shift differential; Overtime as required
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Develop skills with fabrication, fabricating parts per engineering drawing requirements. Knowledge of job related hand tools and proper usage. Experience with drilling, countersinking, installing solid and blind rivets using rivet guns, bucking bars and pneumatic squeezers.
- Learn to use and recognize the necessary tools needed to perform the necessary installation of the required hardware.
- Read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, production illustrations and other specifications to determine the identity, location and relationship of aircraft parts.
- Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee

- High School Diploma or GED
- One to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
