Icelandair is looking for a robust individual in the demanding job of Baggage Hall Operations Manager. The job is at Keflavík Airport in a multinational workplace with over 50 employees, plus more during the summer months.
We look for a positive, organized and solution-focused employee with management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations encompassing baggage services for arriving/departing passengers
- Ensures assigned personnel are properly trained and equipped
- Coordinate procedure changes and implementation with airport authorities
- Project management and exercise cost controls for projects
- Enforce workplace safety standards and evaluate performance
- Maintain and rewrite local publications as required
- Monitor KPIs for adverse trends and implement countermeasures
Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in directly supervising large teams
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- A positive mindset with outstanding leadership skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and strong communications skills
- Good computer skills (Using: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
- Good English skills (reading, writing and spoken) and Icelandic is a plus
- Special emphasis is placed on applicants having a strong focus on safety practices
- Valid driving license and clean criminal record is a must
