Job overview and responsibilities
This manager will be part of our organization in a high-impact role designed to manage and administer several accounting processes currently executed by 10-12 contractor resources in Mumbai. This manager will be responsible for approving journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, identifying process improvements, monitoring/ensuring vendor SLAs and KPIs are met, and implementing best practices in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. Performs project planning, budget, forecast, and analytical support as needed.
- Daily Operations
- Responsible for vendor management of PRA system and offshore service providers for accounting functions, including 25 travel to vendor location
- Ensure vendor teams operate within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) taking action to maintain and/or resolve critical issues
- Engage and partner with offshore service provider to motivate and incentivize offshore resources (requires on-site visits)
- Review monthly journal entries and 100+ account reconciliations and track and resolve reconciling items

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelors degree
- Accounting or Business
- Chartered Accountant
- 6+ years of combined experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
- Ability to prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations, accurately and in conformity with US GAAP and IFRS
- Advanced understanding of IFRS 15 and ASC 606
- Ability to maintain effective controls in compliance with United’s related internal control environment
- Ability to maintain attention to detail while meeting deadlines
- Ability to handle competing priorities and working within deadlines
- Ability to resolve assigned issues and improve processes
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, and monitor and administer a large vendor workforce, including 25 travel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
