Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Manager, Program IT Platform Assurance. Join our team of outstanding people with expertise across a wide variety of disciplines and position yourself at the forefront of tomorrow’s capabilities.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting program IT laboratory environments located across Australia, ensuring these mission critical platforms remain secure, standardised and aligned with enterprise architecture principles. In this highly influential role, you will lead a skilled team to uplift and modernise complex IT platform environments, driving automation, strengthening cyber resilience and embedding best practice lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of IT professionals to deliver secure, standardised and high performing program IT platforms.
- Drive platform uplift and standardisation across program labs, including configuration baselines and lifecycle management.
- Implement automation and best practice operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency and security.
- Ensure platforms meet NIST SP 800-171 requirements and support audits, accreditation and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, SMEs and program stakeholders to deliver technical solutions aligned with program and security needs.
- Oversee incident response, problem management and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain resilient platform environments.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience, including leadership roles in infrastructure or platform management.
- Proven success delivering secure, enterprise grade platforms and working within complex, multi-platform environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships across technical and business domains.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, networking, virtualisation and cloud.
- Experience applying high security standards and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171.
- Degree qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
