- Provide technical support for airport passenger processing systems, computers, and associated networks; troubleshoot and repair computers and peripherals, and assist in diagnosing failed equipment.
- Ensure the operational IT infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues and vendors to develop and refine IT system support strategies, ensuring the systems are running optimally 100 of the time. This includes monitoring various systems, assisting users and technicians with applications, and ensuring system security and backup processes are completed.
- Perform rotating shift work in a 24/7/365 environment, as required.
- Provide hands-on support in a face-to-face customer environment, delivering timely resolutions and outstanding service.
- Ensure incidents at airline counters are resolved within the relevant SLAs, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Assist with troubleshooting Collins-installed products and systems, including hardware, desktop support, and printer setup.
- Manage and maintain servers, operating systems, network connectivity, and networking hardware such as routers and switches.
- Responsible for performing regular MS Windows patch updates and antivirus updates.
- Ensure Collins security standards are adhered to at the site and are consistently maintained.
- Potentially mentor junior technicians, overseeing operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience as a field service technician in a technical support role.
- Proven hands-on experience with various airport systems, including CUPPS, CUSS, SBD, AOS, Bag Messaging, AODB, RMS, Biometrics, FIDS, Security Gates, and other critical airport infrastructure.
- Associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline, or in lieu of a degree, three years of relevant experience with demonstrated skills and expertise.
- Strong experience troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining software for business applications, computers, and peripherals.
- Experience assisting in the analysis and resolution of equipment failures.
- Proficient in supporting installation projects and special projects as needed.
- Solid experience with hardware and peripheral components in an on-site environment.
- Expertise in network connectivity, cabling, and networking hardware.
- Background in working directly in a customer service environment, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
