As a Service Certifying Staff and Quality Engineer, you will assure that QMS requirements, military and civil Airworthiness Regulations and specific Customer requirements for the MRO and CRO Processes are fulfilled and you will be responsible for products certification and release to the Customer.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work across functions in order to guarantee proper management of quality issues in order to minimize impact on Customer, On Time Delivery and Costs

  • Act as Certifying Staff in accordance with main Aeronautical Standard: EMAR145, EASA Part21, EASA Part145

  • Guarantee correct management of non conforming products

  • Monitor and oversee MRO and CRO processes from a quality standpoint with specific focus on products to be certified

  • Recognize improvement opportunities and work with stakeholders to identify and implement effective Corrective/Preventive action plans

  • Promote the awareness and compliance to the Avio Aero SMS, Customer and Regulatory  requirements

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis following customer escapes or other quality issues

  • Conduct weekly shop audits

  • Conduct the preliminary review and work with Material Review Board to disposition nonconforming material and devise remediation actions

  • Support Customer and Regulatory Internal and External audits and assure implementation of corrective actions

Qualification/Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Aeronautical preferred) and/or proven and solid experience in technical, quality, operations or manufacturing engineering role

  • Knowledge of Aeronautical Industry processes

  • Airworthiness Regulations trained

  • Fluent both Italian and English

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

  • Approved EASA/EMAR Certifying Staff or experience in Product Certification

  • Knowledge of MRO/CRO Processes

  • Ability to comprehend technical documentation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
