Solder Technician – 2nd Shift
$22–$23/hr + $1/hr Shift Differential Maple Grove, MN
Class III J-STD High‑Reliability Electronics
Note: Candidates must have at least 1 year of hands‑on soldering experience to IPC‑A‑610 standards. This is a technical role requiring demonstrated microscope soldering abilities.

PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a leading company in electromechanical manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain solutions, is seeking talented Solder Technicians to join their growing team in Maple Grove, MN.
Shift: 2nd Shift — 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay: $23–$24/hour total with shift differential
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Solder Technician, you will play a critical role in producing high‑quality components and assemblies. Responsibilities include:
Performing Class III hand soldering for Through‑Hole, SMT, or Flex products using a microscope.
Preparing wires, including cutting, stripping, twisting, and tinning.
Soldering components to printed wiring boards (PWBs), connectors, and assemblies.
Cleaning and prepping components using in‑line cleaning, hand cleaning, or vapor degreasing methods.
Operating soldering equipment such as wave solder, selective solder, and surface mount technology equipment.
Using hand tools, soldering irons, and measurement devices to fabricate and rework parts, components, and subassemblies.
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant experience (microscope soldering preferred).
Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards; certifications are a plus.
Ability to pass J‑STD‑001 and IPC‑A‑610 certification training (required).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and verbal/written instructions in English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
