The Manufacturing Engineering Central Services, Manufacturing Documentation Services (MDS) Team manages the “readiness” of Work Instructions used to build over 18,000 primary part numbers in our Northeast Manufacturing Work centers.
MDS oversees each Work Instruction’s configuration alignment across Raytheon business systems including Production Data Manager (PDM), PRISM (SAP) and CMES shop floor control.
MDS employees are aided by the Manufacturing Configuration System (MCS) computer-based tool in the execution of their responsibilities.
What You Will Do
As a Staff Technician - Manufacturing Documentation on this team, your primary responsibilities will include engaging customers on manufacturing documentation change request activities and supporting process readiness metrics for Northeast Work centers.
MDS is the owner of the Manufacturing Configuration System (MCS), a VBS based software which enables Process Change Request Workflow/History and Readiness Status by part number. The MDS team provides technical support to the MCS tool, as the preliminary troubleshooters of user issues, leading to problem resolution or escalation to software developers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and releasing Manufacturing Data/Documentation Packages (MDP) to production.
- Managing Configuration of MDPs across business systems of record (PRISM, PDM, cMES) to assure a traceable “three of a kind” revision alignment of Technical Document Package (Drawings, Parts Lists, Specifications) and the MDPs (Assembly Instructions, Shop Floor Route Sheets, Engineering Bills of Materials) is present
- “Vaulting” approved process sheets in PDM and Work Instruction Servers
- Records Management of Operations forms and labels.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an Associate’s Degree (or other 2 year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a military or civilian environment
- Experience with data or records management, managing technical documentation or troubleshooting technical issues
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working with SAP/PRISM
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc)
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Professional

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
