Are you a skilled painter with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality finishes? PDS Tech Commercial is looking for an experienced Painter to join our aerospace team in Kinston, NC. This role is critical in ensuring top-tier finishes on aircraft products, assemblies, and components, contributing to the safety, durability, and performance of cutting-edge aerospace technology.
Your Role & ImpactAs a Painter, you will play a vital role in applying finishes to aircraft components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, engineering standards, and industry regulations. Your expertise in surface preparation, painting, and finishing techniques will directly impact the aesthetic, protective, and functional quality of aerospace parts.
What You’ll Do:- Apply paints, coatings, and finishes to aerospace components, ensuring precision and durability
- Perform surface preparation, including sanding, media blasting, masking, and stenciling
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and air tools for various processing and finishing tasks
- Work from blueprints, process instructions, and customer specifications
- Ensure all work meets OSHA, ISO, and Nadcap safety and quality standards
- Perform self-inspections and use test equipment to verify coating application
- Maintain paint equipment, mix rooms, and work areas, following "Clean as You Go" policies
- Assist in training, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the continuous flow of production by assisting assembly technicians as needed
- Routinely move products within the manufacturing area using shop-assigned equipment
What You Need to Succeed: Required:
- Willingness to work any shift as needed
- Ability to pass a respirator test
- Comfortable working in elevated positions (e.g., lifts, scaffolding, ladders)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications
Preferred:
- Aerospace painting experience or experience in a highly regulated painting environment
- Knowledge of material MSDS data and safety compliance
- Experience with paint mixing, spray equipment maintenance, and surface preparation techniques

Pay Details: $35.00 to $37.00 per hour
