Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new customers and contributing towards the growth of the products portfolio. The BDM will align their objectives with the overall objectives. The BDM will identify and qualify all relevant product development opportunities to grow the portfolio.
- Manage development and profitability of Inertial Navigation products
- Establish a solid understanding of the trends in the MRO industry and create a vision of future needs
- Develop relationships within the MRO industry, government and regulatory agencies
- Nurture and manage strong business relationships with all customers
- Employ consultative selling skills with strong knowledge of the full suite of products and processes in order to recommend specific products and services that satisfy identified client needs
- Proactively review product performance by product, in order to hold regular performance reviews
- Generate contacts through corporate business prospecting; identify potential new business opportunities.
- Identify, qualify and develop new revenue opportunities by planning, establishing and implementing MRO strategies and goals that support overall revenue targets
- Liaise with other departments to ensure buy in and support during initial discussions with potential customers to ensure capability
- Articulate and communicate product related matter with customers
- Think outside the box to innovative ideas in delivering MRO products to the market place
- Liaise with internal departments and branches to support corporate objectives and bring forward customer feedback and recommend product enhancing solutions
- Respond effectively to rapid changes in the market place by implementing creative product changes
- Identify business objectives and establish KPI’s for high risk processes with company
- Organize, represent company at selected Trade Shows and other industry events
- Liaise with Customer Service Manager to ensure contract requirements are being met.
